With over a decade of experience teaching and educational leadership across British and international schools, I specialise in GCSE and A Level English, with a particular focus on unlocking complex texts for diverse learners. I am committed to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in every student, drawing on evidence-based strategies and high-performance learning principles. Through Awaken English, I share resources, insights, and inspiration to support teachers and students in achieving academic excellence and a lifelong love of English.
This blog is designed to share my resources and ideas. Here you will find resources for Key Stage 3 English for the British curriculum; Key Stage 4 Edexcel IGCSE English Literature and English Language resources. Key Stage 5 English Literature resources for all the texts covered in both the Edexcel IAL English Literature, WEN0, and the British Edexcel English Literature 9ET0. Key Stage 5 English Language resources for the British Edexcel 9EN0.
Much of my teaching is inspired by amazing teachers I have had the honour to work with; what I read online and resources shared by the #EduTwitter community. This is my opportunity to give back, to hopefully save other people time in resource creation or revision, and to say thank you.
